Contractors working on the new KFC/Taco Bell Restaurant in Antigo are catching a tremendous spell of great weather.
While the opening of the facility at North Avenue and Neva Road is not expected until the spring of 2010, the site work has been done, the first course of paving is down, lighting standards installed and today, PSI Concrete was pouring the walls of the building.
A cement pump was at the site to allow the heavy slurry to be brought to the top of the wall forms.

Last September the remnants of Hurricane Ike ripped through her Hebron neighborhood, wreaking havoc as it had done all across the region.
The storm ripped off part of her roof and caused significant damage to other parts of the home exterior as well.
The roof has held up for the last year, but it was slowly deteriorating and with another winter fast-approaching and no repairs done yet, Starnes wasn't sure how long it would last.

If all goes according to plan, the Dassel City Council will be increasing its rates for water and sewer to balance out those funds, following feedback of numbers released at its meeting last Monday.
The council did not take official action at that time, pending feedback from the public, but has for the most part settled on figures that will increase rates over a three-year period, in order to cover the new water tower and other improvements made to infrastructure in recent years.

The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) is urging contractors in Iskandar Malaysia to ensure cleaner worksites and enable projects to be completed ahead of schedule.
CIDB chairman Tan Sri Jamilus Hussein said it was time for Malaysia to use the Industrialised Building System (IBS), which had been used widely in countries such as South Korea, China and Japan in recent years.

Families in Susquehanna County are suing a natural gas drilling company.
Fifteen families initially signed on to gas drilling plans with hopes for a bright financial future but now they say they are fed up with one drilling company.
About 50 people came together in Susquehanna County, only a few hundred feet from a drilling platform, to announce their lawsuit against Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation.
